Ramaswami’s bid has garnered support from prominent figures, including Congresswoman Lucy McBath of Georgia’s seventh Congressional district, who endorsed his candidacy. McBath praised Ramaswami’s vision and experience, highlighting the significance of the District 48 seat as a crucial opportunity for Georgia Democrats.

Ramaswami’s background includes extensive work with nonprofits, startups, and small businesses, focusing on leveraging technology for public good and job creation. He served as a civil servant at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where he contributed to cybersecurity and election security efforts during the 2020 and 2022 elections.
