During a rally in Lucknow, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) vision to elevate India into a global superpower while maintaining positive relationships with all nations. Singh highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to see India prosper by 2047.
Singh emphasized the significant progress India has made economically under the BJP government. He noted that India has climbed from the 11th to the 5th position in the global economy, with projections suggesting it could become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027.
Singh lauded Modi’s leadership for achieving substantial results in poverty reduction, as recognized by international organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Niti Ayog.
He urged voters to support Modi for another term as Prime Minister, emphasizing the BJP’s goal of building a new India and fostering strong international relations without any aggressive intentions.
Singh also highlighted the transformation in India’s global stature, with the world now taking India seriously and listening to its voice on international platforms.
The ongoing Lok Sabha elections, taking place in seven phases until June 1, are crucial for shaping the country’s future. Uttar Pradesh, with its 80 parliamentary seats, is a key battleground, with voting occurring across all seven phases.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP secured a significant victory in Uttar Pradesh, winning 62 seats, with support from ally Apna Dal (S). Other parties like BSP and SP also secured seats, while the Congress was limited to just one seat.
