“Whenever we talk about ‘Mahalakshmi’, the Prime Minister of India gets irritated”: Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that whenever the Congress party talks Mahalakshmi Yojana the Prime Minister of India gets “irritated.”

“The Prime Minister waived off a loan of Rs 16 lakh crore for 22 people. He made 22 billionaires. Now we are going to make crores of people millionaires,” he alleged while addressing a public meeting in Shivamogga.
“Whenever we talk about ‘Mahalakshmi’, the Prime Minister of India gets irritated. Because his billonaire friends are not going to get this money. Our government (if voted to power) is going to confer the right of apprenticeship on the youth. Under the Yuva Nidhi scheme, the government is giving you Rs 3000 per month,” Rahul Gandhi added.
“We (If INDIA bloc is voted to power) are going to implement the first permanent job scheme. You will get a job for one year and Rs 8,500 will be transferred into your bank account per month. And the graduates of Hindustan are going to get world-class training,” he said.
Polling for Karnataka with 28 Lok Sabha seats are being held in two phases. Voting for 14 seats had concluded on April 26 while the remaining 14 seats will undergo polling on May 7. The counting of votes is scheduled for June 4.
In 2019, BJP almost swept the State by winning 25 out of 28 seats, while Congress and JD-S — who were running a coalition government in the state — could only win one seat each.
This time, the BJP and JD-S are in coalition, with the former fighting on 25 seats, while the latter is contesting for three.
The general elections are being held in seven phases in a six-week marathon running from April 19 to June 1.
Polling for the first phase and the second phase was held on April 19 and April 26, respectively.
The next round of voting will be held on May 7. The results will be declared on June 4.-ANI
